AboutHi, I'm Tyler!

I’m a marketing strategist and consultant specializing in digital marketing and currently working for Nexus Digital, a marketing agency in Ottawa. I’ve had the pleasure of wearing a number of different hats while working with many great colleagues and clients all over the world. At Nexus, I manage the strategy, implementation, everyday optimization, and measurement of client advertising campaigns. This includes ads on the Google Search Network, YouTube, Google Display Network, Meta (Facebook & Instagram), TikTok, Snapchat, Twitter, Reddit & much more. 

Where I differentiate from other consultants is my emphasis on processes and accountability. I like to work with my clients to ensure that everyone understands what’s being done, what that’s meant to accomplish, and how we’re going to measure it. No surprises. With that philosophy in mind, I encourage clients to ask questions, lean into their own curiosity, and take creative risks. For me, I aim to be as transparent and informative with my clients.

My marketing career, unknown to me, began back in high school where I branded, managed, and promoted the band that I sang in. Little did I know that experience would lead to a career in marketing but I quickly found myself in school where I graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in marketing. I got my first job 2-weeks before my graduation where I worked as a digital marketing specialist focusing on digital advertising and SEO. Over the years I’ve worked at some truly great agencies where I’ve gained experience with websites, analytic platforms, content creation, content marketing, digital advertising, social media marketing, and search engine optimization. In 2019 I was very lucky to land with my team at Nexus Digital, a kind, and knowledgeable team who all share a love for marketing.

Outside of marketing, I’m a husband to my lovely wife Marissa who I met in kindergarten, dated in high school, and married in 2019. I’m business partners with my dog Murphy who’s acting Chief Barketing Officer of this whole operation. I like to read, play golf, play video games, and I’m an avid sports fan.
